Sacrifice with Singing...

"Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD." - Psalm 27:6

Many of you reading this may recognize this psalm as part of the Sunday School lesson this week.  Coincidence...I think not!  Sunday morning we studied how David looked forward to the day that he could shout with joy as he sacrificed in the Lord's tabernacle;  How he would sing and make music.  Then, that night we sang  and made music unto the Lord in his coincidence at all.

There were hours of sacrifice put into the cantata that lasted for just a few moments.  I know that many of us feel that way when we do work for God's kingdom.  You put in hours of work and then feel as if there is only a moment of reward or relief.  But let me tell you, the moment is worth it all.  Just like the cantata, when the final product is complete and the work is finished, and the Lord hears the praises of His is worth it all.  The same holds true for the work that you do every day.  Even if you are able to rest for only a moment, know that the work is worth it all because God is pleased with the work that is done in His name.  He sees what you do...He sees your heart...and He is pleased.  Your God sees the sacrifices, therefore, shout with joy, sing, and make music unto the Lord.

Thank you for serving the Lord!

In Christ,

Bro. Grant
